Comprehensive Sleep Apnea Evaluation, Testing, and Treatment

At St. Rose Sleep Center, we provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic testing, and long-term management for obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders. Our board-certified physicians and experienced sleep medicine team offer both overnight in-laboratory polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing, along with personalized treatment plans, CPAP management, and ongoing follow-up care.

Better Sleep. Better Heart Health. Better Quality of Life.

Sleep apnea is more than snoring or poor sleep. Untreated obstructive sleep apnea can contribute to high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, heart disease, stroke risk, daytime fatigue, poor concentration, and reduced quality of life. Our goal is to help patients identify sleep-related problems early and provide practical, effective treatment options that improve both sleep and overall health.

Sleep Conditions We Commonly Evaluate

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Repeated airway obstruction during sleep causing oxygen drops, snoring, and fragmented sleep.

  • Loud Snoring
Snoring may be a sign of airway narrowing or sleep apnea, especially when associated with pauses in breathing.

  • Daytime Fatigue and Sleepiness
Persistent tiredness, morning headaches, or falling asleep during the day may indicate poor-quality sleep.

  • Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders
Including oxygen desaturation, nocturnal hypoxemia, and breathing abnormalities during sleep.

  • CPAP Intolerance or Difficulty
We help patients troubleshoot mask fit, pressure issues, dryness, discomfort, and adherence challenges.

  • Cardiac Risk Related to Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is commonly associated with hypertension, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, coronary disease, and pulmonary hypertension.

Which Test Is Right for Me?

Our clinical team will determine whether an overnight sleep study or home sleep apnea test is most appropriate based on your symptoms, medical history, insurance requirements, and overall health.

PSG

Overnight Polysomnography

Our sleep center offers in-laboratory overnight polysomnography, the gold-standard sleep test for evaluating obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep-related disorders. During the study, we monitor breathing, oxygen levels, heart rhythm, sleep stages, body position, and movement patterns to provide a detailed assessment of sleep quality and breathing during sleep.

HSAT

Home Sleep Apnea Testing

For appropriate patients, we also offer home sleep apnea testing. HSAT allows patients to complete sleep apnea testing in the comfort of their own home using a portable device. This option may be appropriate for patients with a high suspicion for uncomplicated obstructive sleep apnea.

Personalized Sleep Apnea Treatment

Treatment for sleep apnea is not one-size-fits-all. After reviewing your sleep study results, our team develops a personalized treatment plan based on the severity of your sleep apnea, your symptoms, your medical conditions, and your treatment preferences.

  • Lifestyle and Weight Management Guidance
Discussion of sleep position, weight, alcohol use, nasal congestion, and other modifiable factors.

  • Oral Appliance Referral When Appropriate
For select patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea or CPAP intolerance.

  • Ongoing Follow-Up
Monitoring symptoms, treatment response, compliance data, and long-term outcomes.

  • CPAP Therapy
The most common and effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea.

  • AutoPAP / BiPAP Evaluation
For patients who need different pressure support or have difficulty tolerating standard CPAP.

  • Mask Fitting and Troubleshooting
Support for leaks, discomfort, dryness, pressure intolerance, and adherence problems.
